This project is called Survivor. I was sexually abused from ages 5-10 years old by a family member. I created art as a way to cope with my trauma. I made this project because I wanted to tell my experience. When designing this, I had to brainstorm what I wanted to convey and show my audience. I think sexual abuse is a common thing but sometimes it is hard to talk about. I used my art to showcase my feelings. I tell my story so that maybe we will normalize speaking up, even when it makes us uncomfortable. This was part of my healing journey.

Not only that, but I did research on the percentage of people that are sexually abused yearly and how that affects their future relationships and experiences.
